Cécile DUPLÀA, Research director, team "Wnt/Frizzled Signaling Pathway in Vascular Organization and Function", Inserm U1034

Cécile Duplàa is a research director at Inserm Center U1034, where she leads the team “Wnt/Frizzled Signaling Pathway in Vascular Organization and Function.” She holds a Ph.D. in vascular biology from Bordeaux and completed her pharmacy residency. She then conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School in Boston, in Judith Folkman’s group, supported by a Fulbright fellowship. Her pioneering work focuses on the role of Wnt signaling in vascular morphogenesis, permeability regulation, and vascular integrity maintenance. Her current research investigates the molecular mechanisms of cerebral small vessel disease, a potential early indicator of neurodegeneration.
