Amy leads the Cognitive Health Initiative at Monash University’s School of Translational Medicine in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, and heads Cognitive Neurology Services and dementia trials at 2 hospitals.
She was the first woman appointed as an Honorary Medical Advisor for Dementia Australia, the inaugural President of the Australasian Cognitive Neurology Association, the inaugural Chair for the Australian Chapter of the Organization of Human Brain Mapping and is the incoming Chair for the International Stroke Genetics Consortium in 2025.
Her research focuses on improving the diagnostic odyssey for people with dementia and understanding vascular contributions to late-life brain health. Her vision is brain health for all: developing measures of brain health and identifying opportunities for brain health promotion.
Amy lives with her husband, 3 daughters, and crazy puppy. She is a passionate yogi, keen baker, and is fortunate to walk and occasionally run the nearby trails of the Birrarung/Yarra River every week. She used to love gardening until her dog ate all the plants.
