Claire graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy and a doctorate in Cellular Biology, physiology and pathology (2014). She has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in Physiology at the University of Bordeaux in 2021 and at the INSERM UNIT 1034 in Pessac (France). Her research focuses on the regulation of angiogenesis, homeostasis and blood vessel integrity. She uses several innovative in vivo and in vitro models to dissect the molecular mechanisms leading to endothelial dysfunction and to the development of vascular diseases. With her strong background in the vascular biology field, she is now a member of the VBHI and tries to develop translational projects to investigate the contribution of blood brain barrier impairment to neuronal dysfunction and cognitive decline and to identify new molecular players involved in cerebral small vessel disease.
Claire is a big fan of alternative rock and grunge music, a lover of Japanese art and is probably the only French woman who likes pea and mint soup.
