Erwan LOUVEAU, Doctorant en Santé Publique

PhD candidate in public health with a specialisation in biostatistics at Bordeaux Population Health (BPH), my doctoral research focuses on the development of statistical methods for the dynamic prediction of clinical events using intensive longitudinal data (ILD). Such data provide an opportunity to anticipate patients’ clinical trajectories in an individualised manner. However, their use remains limited by the complexity and computational cost of existing models.
The main objective of my research is to develop more efficient and flexible prediction tools, drawing on approaches from functional data analysis, in order to anticipate complications in intensive care, particularly vasospasm following cerebral haemorrhage.

A Breton living in exile in south-west France, he swears only by salted butter, Stade Rennais, and the galette-saucisse.
