Mathilde REYNES, PhD student in neurosciences

Mathilde holds an International Master of Science from the Université Côte d’Azur, specializing in Modeling for Neuronal and Cognitive Systems: a discipline at the intersection of computational modeling and neuroscience. Since 2023, she has been based at the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases, where she went on to begin her PhD in 2024 under the supervision of Amélie Aussel and Fabien Wagner. Her PhD research probes the cognitive and neurophysiological impact of non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, leveraging electroencephalographic recordings to capture the brain’s activity. Mathilde is actively involved in the SHIVA-CogNeurophys study, which sits at the heart of her doctoral work.

Left-handed writer, Mathilde never misses an opportunity to highlight the under-representation of left-handers in clinical studies. As for her laterality in all other respects, the answer remains, to this day, unclear…
