About our website<\/h2>\n

A pioneer in the fight against the most common neurological diseases, the VBHI carries out four major activities to achieve its goal of preventing stroke and dementia and promoting healthy brain ageing:<\/p>\n

  1. Precision public health approaches that take into account the diversity of people and the environment they live in.<\/li>\n
  2. Scientific research aimed at elucidating the complex mechanisms of cerebrovascular diseases to develop and test new strategies for prevention and personalised, “precision,” therapies.<\/li>\n
  3. New best practices and social and organisational innovation to reduce health inequalities localy and and worldwide.<\/li>\n
  4. Novel and ambitious training programmes and outreach programmes, built off solid foundations in public health, data science and neuroscience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The aim of this website is to share the Institute\u2019s news and acitivities while raising awareness about cerebrovascular research as a means of preventing stroke and dementia and promoting healthy brain ageing.<\/p>\n
